Required Permissions
- submit: none. Any member can use it if appeals are enabled.
- settings: Administrator.
Subcommands
submit
No options. BetterAntiSpam shows a list of your appealable punishments; select one to open a form asking for your appeal reason and any extra details.
settings
No options. Opens an admin dashboard with Overview, Limits, and Allowlist pages.
- Overview: turn appeals on or off, set the appeal log channel (BetterAntiSpam creates one automatically if you turn appeals on without picking one).
- Limits: set how many appeals a member can submit per punishment type (default 3), and whether appeals cover only automated BetterAntiSpam punishments or all staff moderation actions.
- Allowlist: choose which roles or users can review and decide appeals. Defaults to anyone with Administrator, Manage Server, or Moderate Members if you haven't set a custom list.
Behavior
- Only bans, temporary bans, kicks, mutes, and warnings can be appealed.
- Appeals are submitted to the appeal log channel for review, where staff can approve, deny, or mark one for further review.
- Approving or denying an appeal is a record-keeping decision. It doesn't automatically reverse the punishment. Staff need to lift the ban, mute, or warning separately.
- Members also get a Submit appeal button directly on the DM they receive when punished, when their case is eligible.
