/setup
Overview
/setup runs a guided setup wizard that turns on a bundle of core protections in one pass, instead of configuring each feature separately.
Required Permissions
- Administrator
Usage
- Run
/setupand select which features to enable from the list: anti-spam, anti-raid, anti-nuke, verification, DM lock, logging, appeals, minimum account age, invite lock, and ad block. Anti-spam, anti-raid, anti-nuke, verification, logging, appeals, ad block, and minimum account age are preselected. - Review the summary of what each selected feature will do, including any channels BetterAntiSpam will create.
- Confirm to apply the selections.
Behavior
- Verification: creates a verification channel, creates an "Unverified" role, turns on lockdown for unverified members, and posts the verification panel.
- Logging: creates a log channel and turns on logging for anti-spam, anti-nuke, moderation, joins, verification, commands, and config changes.
- Appeals: creates an appeal channel and turns on the appeal system.
- Minimum account age: sets a floor of at least 1 day if a lower value is already set.
- DM lock and invite lock: apply immediately using Discord's server incident tools.
- After setup finishes, BetterAntiSpam runs a quick security check and flags anything that still needs attention.
- Running
/setupagain lets you enable additional features without undoing what's already configured.
/setup is a starting point. Fine-tune any feature afterward with its own command, for example /antispam settings or /verification settings.
