/nuke

Overview

/nuke bulk-deletes messages in the channel you run it in. Provide a limit to delete a specific number of recent messages, or omit it to wipe the whole channel, optionally by recreating it from scratch.

Required Permissions

  • Manage Messages

Options

OptionRequiredDescription
limitNoNumber of recent messages to delete (1–1,000). Omit to wipe the entire channel.

Behavior

  • With limit: collects up to that many of the newest messages and deletes them. For larger deletions, BetterAntiSpam shows a confirmation prompt with the count and an estimated duration before proceeding.
  • Without limit: samples the channel first to estimate its size, then offers a choice between purging messages in place or recreating the channel (clearing it instantly by cloning and replacing it). Recreating requires BetterAntiSpam to have Manage Channels as well.
  • Very large or old channels may take a while: Discord only allows bulk-deleting messages younger than 14 days, older messages are deleted one at a time.
  • A public embed with a GIF is posted in the channel (or the new channel, if recreated) once the purge finishes.
  • The action is logged with a transcript of the deleted messages attached, if a log channel is configured.
