/unnuke
Overview
/unnuke reverses recent destructive changes to your server by reading Discord's audit log and restoring what it finds, deleted channels, deleted roles, member roles that were stripped, bans applied to remove other members' bans, guild name changes, and deleted scheduled events. Use it to recover after a compromised staff account or malicious bot causes damage.
Required Permissions
- Administrator, View Audit Log, Manage Channels, Manage Roles, and Ban Members. BetterAntiSpam needs the same permissions to perform the restoration.
Usage
Running /unnuke opens an interactive setup screen, there are no slash command options.
- Choose which categories to restore: channels, roles, member roles, bans that were lifted, the server name, and scheduled events. All are on by default.
- Choose a scan depth: Standard (100 audit log entries per category, default), Deep (250), or Max (600). The screen shows a live preview of how many matching changes were found at the selected depth.
- Review the preview, then confirm to run the restoration, or cancel.
Behavior
- Nothing changes until you explicitly confirm. Canceling or letting the screen time out makes no changes.
- Scheduled events can only be reported, not recreated, because Discord's API doesn't support restoring them directly.
- After running, BetterAntiSpam shows a summary of what was restored, skipped, or failed per category, and logs the same summary to the log channel.
/unnuke restores from Discord's audit log, not from anything /nuke recorded. The two commands aren't related despite the similar names, /nuke bulk-deletes messages in a channel, while /unnuke recovers from broader destructive actions like deleted channels or roles.
